Tballs rise again
to take second place
 TEAM: W L PCT

The first thing to be said is that there was a discrepancy in the points awarded between the Dory Terminators and the Holy Rollers. The reason that the Terms got hammered was that Brett Page’s two games were accidentally left out. Normally Brett’s scores don’t matter, but in this case their absence denied the Terms the 11-point win that would put them in second place.

On what might have been the nicest Saturday of the year, the Thunderballs and the Legionnaires had an afternoon make-up game from when they were snowed out. Keith Clark, being the trooper that he is, put off mowing his lawn and putting boats in the water just to bowl. The Tballs that afternoon were 8-point winners putting them once again in second place.

The regular week started with the Holy Rollers up against the Legionnaires. The Rollers, spotting the ’Naires 12 pins per game (the battle of the Titans), managed to secure a 7-point win.

The Clippers were 8-point winners in their game with the Misfits. The Clips rolled the second-high team game and second-high team series of 1,064 and 2,933 respectively. Kevin Lechmanski and Jim Gibbs Jr. tied for the third-high game of 187, while Jimmy also had the third-high series of 492. Tim King came through for the Misfits with a 470 series. It appears that Bobby Marcello might have had a flame-out as he was below his average this week.

The week ended with a match between the Pharmaceuticals and the Thunderballs with the Pharms getting the 8-point win. For the Tballs, Keith Clark rolled the high game of 213 and the second-high series of 512. The only thing that he mowed this night was the pins. The Tballs rolled the third-high team game of 1,010. For the Pharms, the big guy came through once again. Randy “Big Daddy” Silvani rolled the second high game of 203 and the high series of 515. Rolling 89 pins over his average, Randy earned Bowler of the Week honors, stealing it from Keith by a mere 3 pins.

As fast as the lanes heated up in the past, they seemed to cool down as seen by the lack of high scores posted this week. The Terms had the bye this week.
