Viewfinder: ‘I’ll never look at another portrait the same way…’

That was one comment following Chuck Olton’s slide show lecture at the Women’s Community Club on April 3. Mr. Olton compared the portrait style developed by the young American Republic’s painters to the established allegorical European style, and focused on portraits of George Washington and their significance.
