Funds to fight ticks

Janalyn Travis-Messer, president of the Shelter Island Deer and Tick Management Foundation, on the right in the above photo,  presented a check to Supervisor Jim Dougherty for $8,135 from “generous citizens of Shelter Island who are very supportive of the 4-poster program.”

Also in attendance was Patricia Shillingburg, Chair of the Deer and Tick Committee.
