MADD rep coming to school, public invited

REPORTER FILE PHOTO | COURTESY PHOTO | Mothers Against Drunk Driving representative Margaret Rebholz will speak at Shelter Island School Thursday morning.

Margaret Rebholz from Mothers Against Drunk Driving will speak to Shelter Island School students in grades eight through 12 Thursday.

The community is invited to attend the session at 8:15 a.m. in the school auditorium.

It’s a particularly timely subject for the community in the wake of the October 12 crash in Silver Beach that sent four teenagers to the hospital and resulted in the 17-year-old driver being charged with driving while intoxicated.
