Center Post Office staff asks public for help

Between now and Christmas, Island post offices boxes will be crammed full of bulky catalogues and seasonal mailings.

Mary Payne, postmaster at the Center Post Office, says she’s already running out of room to store the overflow that doesn’t fit in the boxes or on the shelves.

Her advice? If boxholders are able to pick up their mail, once a day, it would help a lot.
