Snow continued to fall through the afternoon on the Island at a steady pace with, according to The National Weather Service, a total accumulation of between of 4 to 8 inches possible.

The snow will continue to fall tonight, according to the NWS, and turn much colder, with a low around 14. Only about an inch of accumulated snow is expected.

Friday’s forecast calls for a cold but sunny day with a high of 23.
