Happy birthday, Itzhak Perlman! Seventy years young this week, Mr. Perlman will be celebrating with the rest of the wonderful musicians at the Perlman Music Program this coming Saturday.

In 1958, when he was just 13 years old, Itzhak performed in Tel Aviv with several other Israeli musicians for Ed Sullivan, who promptly brought him to the United States and introduced him to the world. He played on the show again six years later, the same year Mr. Sullivan introduced another famous act — from Liverpool!
