Tree swallows are the great trapeze artists of the air, feeding on insects on the fly, performing dramatic and beautiful twists, turns, dips and falls. They also like the company of their tribe, getting together often for huge communal roosts, like the one photographer Jim Colligan captured off Peconic Avenue early Monday morning.
