Art Barnett III weighed in with a touch of sly humor on last week’s mystery photo (see below) by hazarding a guess that it is “Klenawicus laundry… at least a sock.”

Dave Klenawicus, who should know, wrote to say that  it was the Klenawicus Airfield windsock — our
3-year old calls it the “carrot” near Aunt Fran Klenawicus’ house.

And Tom Speeches also nailed it, writing that it’s “the windsock at Klenawicus International Airstrip on Cartwight Road. My dad built his plane on that property with the help of his childhood friend Frank Klen. He flew in and out on that strip for many happy years.”
