Lions dinner a roaring success

Lions Club chefs Hoot Sherman, Keith Marty, Bruce Jernick and George Walsh served up three-course meals, with scallops the star attraction, to more than 150 satisfied customers on Sunday night at the Pridwin.

Guests at the Lions Club’s 52nd annual Scallop Dinner were greeted by a tuxedo-clad maitre d’Adipietro, and Lions members smoothly delivered course after course to their designated diners.

Working two shifts between 5 and 8 p.m., members of the 8th grade class kept plates moving on and off the tables and water glasses filled, under the watchful eye of Ginny Gibbs.
