An update on the Senior Citizens Foundation appeal­

There are only 14 more days to mail your tax deductiblecontribution to the Senior Citizens Foundation Appeal 2009. Over2,100 appeal letters were mailed in late November. The response notonly from local residents but from as far away as Arizona, Floridaand Ohio has been generous and heart-warming.

This year’s target program is the Silver Circle, the Island’spremier social activity club for older seniors. In a letteraddressed to Foundation President Sy Weissman, Lois Charls, programdirector, requested up to $10,000 just to sustain itsoperation.

If you misplaced your donor envelope, the foundation’s addressis P.O. Box 352 in the Center. If you cannot make the December 31deadline, we will welcome your tax deductible contribution nextyear.
