Emma Radl


Former Shelter Island resident Emma Radl, 97, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 7, 2010 at her home in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.


Mrs. Radl believed in contributing to her community and was active for many years as a volunteer at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport before moving to Pennsylvania in 1994.


She was predeceased by her husband T.J. (Joe) Radl in 2005. She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Crum of Ogdensburg, New Jersey and Jane Schuster of Hampstead, Maryland, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.


Interment is private and arrangements will be handled by the Donohue Funeral Home in Newtown Square.
