Thunderballs take 6 from Louie’s Clips TEAM W L PCT
The lanes were hot this week as we find many good scores. What awelcome change this is.
The week started with a match between the Tballs and Louie’sClippers. The Clips rolled well with a high team game of 1,168 anda high team series of 3,074. That being said, they still lost 6points to the Tballs. Looking at the scores, the Clips used up alltheir resources in the first game just to fizzle out in the nexttwo. Jim Gibbs Jr. had a 187 game, while Robbie Brewer and KevinLechmanski shared the second-high game of 203. Kevin also rolledthe second-high series of 518. Bobby Marcello cooled off this week,but still threw a 196. As for Arthur “the old silver fox, hemanaged to hold his own and go with the flow. The Tballs managed totake advantage of the Clips rolling their game to take points withKevin Barry’s 183 game.
With the Pharmaceuticals two bowlers short, the Misfits tookadvantage, earning an 8-point win. The Misfits had the second-highteam series of 3,059 while the Pharms had the third-high teamseries of 3,035. The Misfits also had the third-high team game of1,060. Tim King led the Misfits with games of 188 and 199 androlling for a 501 series. In a losing cause, the night as well asthe week belonged to Stanley “Stickman Beckwith. Stan rolled thehigh game of the week of 214 and shared the high series 522.Rolling 96 pins over his series average, Stanley earned Bowler ofthe Week Honors.
The Dory Terminators this week got hammered by the Holy Rollerswith an 8-point loss. They managed to lose this week without thehelp of their sponsor Jack. Like the Clips, the Terms came outstrong the first game, only to fizzle out in the second. Harry “TheHammer Brigham led the Rollers with a 433 series that was 79 pinsover his average, and Rich Surozenski shared with Stanley the highseries of 522. Richie also rolled games of 181 and 196. Let us notforget Butch Labrozzi and his 506 series.
Father Peter was last seen taking the Legionnaires on a one-weeksabbatical to the shrine of St. Brunswick in St. Louis,Missouri.
