PUBLIC NOTICE 


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Shelter Island Town Planning Board will hold a public hearing at 7:05 p.m. prevailing time on March 30, 2010, in Shelter Island Town Hall, Shelter Island, New York, at which time all interested parties shall be heard regarding the final plat application of SHANE PATRICK for a subdivision of lands purportedly owned by Shane Patrick and Ania Chowaniec, located in the “District A (Residential)” zoning district and outside of the Near Shore and Peninsular overlay district, on the southerly side of Stearns Point Road, approximately 636 feet east of Behringer Lane, in the Town of Shelter Island, New York, which lands are identified on the Suffolk County Tax Map as parcel numbered 0700-014.00-01.00-042.000. The application proposes to subdivide a 2.59 acre parcel, which contains an existing residence with attached garage, a detached garage, an accessory dwelling/apartment, and an old concrete foundation, into two lots for single-family residential use, one of which shall have 60,849 square feet or 1.4 acres (Lot 1) and the second of which shall be a flag lot with 52,180 square feet or 1.2 acres total and 42,311 square feet or 0.97 acres excluding the flag strip (Lot 2). The proposed subdivision is depicted on a map entitled “Subdivision of Land Prepared for Shane Patrick,” dated January 18, 2007 and last revised on December 9, 2009, which map is available for review at the office of the Shelter Island Planning Board.
