Business Brief: Real estate sales down

Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty (DGSIR) generates 20 individual real estate market reports covering communities from Manhasset and Garden City to Southold and Shelter Island.
According to the firm’s Shelter Island report for the first half of 2011, the number of sales and the value of sales were down somewhat from January to June this year compared to the same period last year. Here are the numbers for the Island, including the Heights:
