Volleyball: Haldane defeats Indians in semis

Despite a spirited effort by the Indians, the reigning Class D state volleyball championship team from Haldane High School in Nelsonville defeated Shelter Island in three sets on Friday, 25-12, 25-15, 25-22. The match, which was played at the Center Moriches High School, ended Shelter Island’s undefeated Suffolk County Class D Championship Islands season.
