A false fire alarm at Shelter Island School sent students, teachers and school personnel to the American Legion Hall just before 8 a.m. this morning.

Fire Department Chief John D’Amato said another false alarm went off later.

School Superintendent Michael Hynes and building and grounds employee Greg Sulahian are currently working on the alarm’s problems, Chief D’Amato said.
