Firefighters plug propane leak
Second Assistant Chief Greg Sulahian directed operations at 34 North Cartwright Road this morning to bring a propane tank leak under control.
Shelter Island Firefighters responded Tuesday morning to a leaking propane tank on property at 34 North Cartwright Road.
The call came in shortly after 9 a.m.
Assistant Chief Greg Sulahian responded along with several trucks from both the Center and Heights firehouses.
By 9:45 a.m., most of the firefighters, including the chief, had departed the site, having brought the situation under control.
