Honoring Shelter Island’s best

The Suffolk Zone Physical Education award was given to Shelter Island high School Students Kenna McCarthy and Peter Kropf at an awards banquet December 2 at the Hyatt Regency in Hauppauge.

The honor is bestowed on one male and one female student from each high school in Suffolk County for qualities such as leadership, being a role model to others, as well as achieving a high academic standard in physical education.
