Updated forecast, possible 10 inches, 9 power outages reported

According to updated forecasts from the National Weather Service, up to 10 inches could fall on our area by the time Friday’s snowstorm is through.

The projected snowfall total has been steadily rising as the storm makes its way across the East End.

PSEG reported at 1 p.m. that there were nine outages on Shelter Island and crews have been assigned to restore power.
