Opening of school delayed today

The Shelter Island School District has announced that due to bad weather, there will be a two-hour delayed opening of school today, Tuesday, February 9.

Classes will begin at 10 a.m.

The district announced that students who take the bus should be at their bus stop two hours later than their usual pick up time.

For pre-kindergarten students who join kindergarten students each day, school is canceled.
