First day of 2016 scallop season on Shelter Island

Scallop season officially opened today, the first Monday of November.

Charity Robey was at Condon’s Dock on a pristine autumn morning to wish Earl Reiter and first mate, Duke, good luck and happy scalloping for the coming season.
