Islanders make good showing at polls Tuesday morning
Poll watchers and election officials said this morning that there was a substantial turnout in the works for Election Day 2016.
Perfect weather and the presidential election has helped the strong showing of Island voters heading for the polls at the Shelter Island School gym, a poll watcher said.
Polls are open until 9 p.m. tonight.
