Weather Service: Sunny and mild today for Shelter Island

Wednesday dawned bright and clear and, according to the National Weather Service, will stay that way throughout the day

The NWS is calling for a high temperature near 74 degrees with northeast winds between 7 to 9 mph, shifting to the southeast this afternoon.

Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 62 and a south wind at 5 to 8 mph, according to the NWS.
