Santa’s workshop at the historical center

ELEANOR P. LABROZZI Mr. and Mrs. Claus visited the historical society over the weekend.

The Shelter Island Historical Society presented Santa’s Workshop in the Barn on Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Shelter Island History Center.

The event offered the opportunity to take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus; ornament and gift making; a view of the Shelter Island School Art Show; a visit from Rudolph; and holiday refreshments and hot chocolate. The society also accepted unwrapped toys for children in need. 

Guests created gingerbread houses to take home.
Islanders gathered to spread holiday cheer.
An art show featuring pieces created by Shelter Island School students decorated the walls.
