The gallery at the Shelter Island Library features new works of art by Island artists every two months.

Acclaimed Shelter Island artist Bob Markell, or a reasonable facsimile, last seen on a  boat going off-Island, is shown here enthralling — or maybe puzzling — a group of Camp Quinipet kids this week.

Watch this spot in coming weeks, as we track Bob’s progress through the Island, all leading to the annual ArtSI Studio tour coming up August 16 and 17.
