Island writer and the Reporter Off the Fork columnist Charity Robey will be venturing across the moat next weekend to speak about local clams with fellow journalist, Jane Lear. The Reporter caught up with Ms. Robey to learn some fun facts about clams.

The day Mike Stromberg started his first game as a professional football player, the anxiety made him throw up. It was 1968, he was a 22-year-old middle linebacker for the New York Jets, and there were 30,000 people in the stadium.
“Before that I had played in front of a few thousand people at most,” he recalled. “When I was in the tunnel, I said to myself, ‘Remember this moment, it may never happen again.’ I still have that moment.” (more…)
