The Shelter Island Bucks welcomed the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League (HCBL) leading Westhampton Aviators on Tuesday and bowed 7-3 at a sun-drenched Fiske Field.
Island pitchers recorded 13 strikeouts and allowed twelve hits as the Aviators earned their 20th win of the season against just nine defeats. The Bucks are in last place in the HCBL with an 8-17-1 record. (more…)

After a short delay for a thunderstorm moving over the Island, the Shelter Island Bucks showed some late lighting of their own, winning its first game of the season with a walk-off base hit over the Southampton Breakers Tuesday at Fiske Field. (more…)

A pair of pivotal 9th inning decisions went against the Shelter Island Bucks Monday evening, who fell to the visiting North Fork Ospreys 5-4 at home and saw their lead over second place Westhampton drop to just half a game in the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League.
Fans at Fiske Field were treated to good baseball, without the drama of ejections, disputes with umpires and poor officiating that occurred in Saturday’s game against Sag Harbor. (more…)
