Jay Goldberg, one of America’s preeminent trial attorneys, has represented Robert F. Kennedy, John F. Kennedy, Willie Nelson, Miles Davis, Donald Trump, Johnny Cash, Armand Hammer, The Hells Angels and many others over the course of his long and illustrious career. The Shelter Island Public Library welcomed Mr. Goldberg to Friday Night Dialogues on Nov. 8.

A brisk snap in the air didn’t deter an enthusiastic group of Islanders from attending last Friday Night’s Dialogue at the Shelter Island Library. The guest speaker was Jay Goldberg, widely recognized as a top litigator. His new book, “The Courtroom Is My Theater,” formed the basis for an hour of recollections about the famous and infamous whom he’d represented in court.

Cristina Alger has perfected the character of the smart, spunky heroine, which she showcased in “The Banker’s Wife,” last year’s successful novel. She’s followed up that tour de force with a crime novel this summer, “Girls Like Us,” which debuted at Number 13 on The New York Times bestseller list last month.

It’s an all-in-the-family operation at Arcadia Wealth Management, where Shelter Islanders Walter Wisniewski and his daughter Allison Vanaski guide their clients to achieve financial stability, explaining methods in their recently published book, ‘The Millionaire Within.’

The father-daughter financial counseling team of Walter Wisniewski and Allison Vanaski have learned a lot over their years working together. In their new book, “The Millionaire Within,” they share many strategies for handling money, but in an interview with the Reporter, they said they’ve also learned quite a bit themselves from dealing with clients.
