We had heard stories about families fracturing and dis-inviting members to Thanksgiving for voting the wrong way in the election.
As we motored up to Cape Cod for our annual gathering, there was no worry about that happening in our clan. We all were born into Eisenhower Republican families, and some of us had morphed into Democrats and Independents. But no one, as far as we knew, had lurched into Trump World. There would be no angry confrontations, no finger-pointing. It never, miraculously, became a topic of conversation at the dinner table. (more…)
