Shelter Island Reporter obituary: John J. Gereghty
John J. Gereghty of Norwalk, Conn., and formerly of Shelter Island, passed away on Friday, Dec. 26, 2025. He was 75 years old.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Isle Church, officiated by Father Peter DeSanctis.
Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Isle Cemetery.
The DeFriest-Grattan Shelter Island Funeral Home is serving the family.
