Island Easter Egg Hunt slated for Saturday
The 2026 Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by the Shelter Island Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, at Fireman’s Field at St. Gabe’s Meadow at the corner of Burns and Cartwright Roads.
Children ages 1 to 8 will scoop up colorful plastic eggs filled with candy when the fire truck sounds its horn. Competing in age groups, they’ll get prizes for the most collected, with some special silver eggs to be found. One guarantee: It will be fun fun for all.
