Mashomack Craft Day,  3 p.m., program for ages 2+ at the Pavilion in the Preserve. Themes are flowers and rainfall. 

THURSDAY, AUGUST 13

Shelter Island Library program,  1:30 p.m. Miss Lori will lead little ones and their caregivers in stories, songs and movements. at Shelter Island School.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 14

Tails & Tales,  4:15 p.m., Reading to a therapy dog, at the library. Ages 6+. Adult must accompany children under 10.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 6

Tolerance in Medieval Spain,  5 to 6:30 p.m. History Museum. Historian Dryden Little, Ph.D. explores the Medieval Spanish idea of “convivencia” or tolerance among three monotheistic religions as illustrated through Jewish, Christian and Moorish art and architecture. Free, donations appreciated.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 7

Works in Progress,  7 p.m., Perlman Music Program students perform free concerts in the tent. 

SATURDAY, AUGUST 8

Havens Farmers Market,  9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Fresh foods, flowers, crafts, music on the grounds of the History Museum. Free entry, no pets.

Masterworks in Jewelry,  11:30 – 4:30 p.m., at C Fine Sculpture Sights, 21 North Ferry Road. A collection of contemporary and vintage jewelry. A portion of sales benefits Fresh Pond.
