Candy drive on at school —Winter wear also needed

As Halloween approaches, the Shelter Island School’s National Honor Society is helping the Witches of Smith Street get ready for Trick or Treat-ers with their candy drive. Donations of candy can be dropped in the school’s main lobby by Wednesday, Oct. 28.

Getting ready for cold weather, the PTSA is hosting ‘Socktober,’ welcoming donation of socks, toiletries, gloves and more for CAST and our local pantry.

CAST has a bin for collection of warm coats and accessories in the lobby. Also, the NHS is still collecting athletic footwear to reuse or recycle with “GotSneakers?”
