Police: DWI arrest on New York Avenue

Edward M. Kneski Jr., 28, of Riverhead, was arrested on Sept.19 at 11:50 p.m. on New York Avenue by Shelter Island Police and charged with driving while intoxicated, moving from a lane unsafely and driving at “imprudent speed.”

Police said Mr. Kneski was taken into custody and held overnight at police headquarters. He went before Shelter Island Justice Court where he was arraigned and released on his own recognizance and directed to return on a future date.
