COURTESY PHOTO | Wednesday’s movie at the Senior Activity Center is a classic screwball comedy.

“The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer” will be shown on Wednesday, February 26 at 2:30 p.m. at the Senior Activity Center in tribute to Shirley Temple who has just passed away.

She co-starred with Cary Grant and Myrna Loy. Cary plays an artist of dubious reputation who is “sentenced” to date a high school teen by her sister the judge, played by Myrna. This slapstick comedy becomes very complicated with every twist and turn of the plot.

Judge Turner (Loy) is being courted by the district attorney and her brother is the court psychologist who, when he sees that his niece has a big crush on the artist, recommends that he date her so she can see for herself that the older man is not as great as he seems.

Ha! Cary Grant. Not great! I don’t think so.

The jealous suitor thinks that the conferences to discuss  the situation are not so innocent. The uncle thinks the judge needs a husband and guess who he thinks will make a good candidate?

Come to this movie if you would like to see a man with the power to overcome adversity. Maggie, Mimi and I will provide a sweet treat, a drink and some comfortable chairs. You only have to bring your funny bone.

  • Thanks for helping me to get new strategies about personal computers. I also have the belief that certain of the best ways to keep your notebook in excellent condition has been a hard plastic-type material case, as well as shell, which fits over the top of the computer. Most of these protective gear tend to be model unique since they are made to fit perfectly in the natural outer shell. You can buy all of them directly from the seller, or through third party places if they are for your laptop computer, however not every laptop will have a shell on the market. Once again, thanks for your tips.

  • Dead composed articles, regards for selective information.

  • Thanks for your helpful post. In recent times, I have come to understand that the particular symptoms of mesothelioma are caused by a build up associated fluid regarding the lining of your lung and the breasts cavity. The illness may start from the chest spot and propagate to other limbs. Other symptoms of pleural mesothelioma cancer include fat loss, severe deep breathing trouble, nausea, difficulty taking in food, and bloating of the face and neck areas. It must be noted that some people having the disease will not experience any kind of serious indications at all.

  • Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and appearance. I must say that you’ve done a amazing job with this. Also, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Safari. Exceptional Blog!

  • This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
