Signs of the times? Graffiti scars the Island

More and more graffiti is appearing on the Island, on traffic signs, businesses and homes.

Detective Sergeant Jack Thilberg of the Shelter Island Police Department said that “for months” there has been an “ongoing, active investigation” into the situation. Det. Sgt. Thilberg wouldn’t comment whether it was the work of an individual or more than one person responsible.

Below are some glaring examples.
