Shelter Island Photo Op: Taking flight

The Shelter Island Pilots Association welcomed some visitors to Klenawicus Field this week.

Shown above taking off from Klenawicus is a Husky, with pilot Mark Zander at the controls.

These aircraft are typically flown at undeveloped airfields and back country — a perfect fit for Shelter Island.
